Energy and raw material prices were already on very high level but surged even further after the beginning of the war in Ukraine. Those increases combined with availability issues have serious financial impacts on the flexible packaging supply chain.
We appreciate the recent Ellen MacArthur Foundation (EMF) report on flexible packaging circularity1. In our sustainability vision2, we share the New Plastics Economy (NPEC) Global Commitments objective to ensure that plastic never becomes waste, which means zero tolerance for leakage and the development of a circular economy for all flexible packaging.
